Had a great stay despite the weather The hosts were excellent made us feel at home the location is great just a short stroll into the village Easy to park And best of all fantastic breakfast Look forward to our next visit I would recommned the local riding centre and if you have never tried it visit the gliding club the area is one of the best in the UK

THE OLD RADNOR BARN TALGARTH This is a lovely 4 Star B B set in the Brecon Beacons ideal for walkers and mountain bikers The Old Radnor Barn offers superb rooms and breakfast of superior quality and also evening meals if needed The owners Stephen and Lynne Groves are a couple that give a very warm welcome and nothing is to much trouble We went to stay with them to do some mountain biking and with a lockable shed to put our bikes away at night was very helpfull With lots a trails starting at the carpark just outside the garden this is a great place to stay With the town of Brecon only 8 miles away you are never very far away from the next lot of tails to go on

A big thank you to Steve & Lynne for such a warm and welcoming stay at your B & B. You made our stay so pleasant for us all. An ideal place for a family holiday (with three boys) Thanks once again for the warm hospitality, useful information, delicious breakfasts and the lovely homemade meal of cottage pie and apple pie. The kids felt very comfortable and at home, especially after getting to know Meg (the dog). We also found your B & B centrally located and this helped us find our way round places of interest in Brecon Beacon National Park very easily.

We found the Old Radnor Barn exceeded our expectations. The family room was excellant, the breakfasts top notch and the hosts friendly but unobtrusive. The boys particularly liked the swimming pool and May the dog. We can highly recommend it.

We have really enjoyed our staying in the Old Radnor Barn. We were very pleased with the warm welkom en the perfect service. We enjoyed the swimming pool and the lovely garden. After a long day of walking we were happy with the thee and coffee making facilities. We appreciated the useful advice about the Brecon Beacons. And above all we loved the dog Meg to play with.

Very nice accommodation and a friendly welcome in the hillside. Breakfast managed to sink us so you won't go away hungry. They even managed to lay on some welsh sunshine - how good is that!

Our enthusiasm for a country depends on the accommodation we find there as well as on its beauty, and in this case we can only say that we liked Wales very much in every respect, that everything fit together and that we will surely come back as soon as possible. Stephen and Lynn contributed very much to this positive impression. They are exactly the kind of people we enjoy talking to. We liked to get up in the morning, knowing that a fantastic breakfast as well as extremely interesting conversations would await us. Stephen also took us to a choir practice of the male choir he is singing in and we really enjoyed that experience very much - we kept on singing the song they practised during the holidays...In this case, leaving was like "Partir, c'est un peu mourir." We will definitely stay in the Old Radnor Barn again.

A great Easter break taking in the hospitality of the Old Radnor Barn. Excellent location in the village and all the wild hills of Wales on your doorstep. Perfect location if you want to get out in the wilds on your mountain bike too. The top notch breakfasts make sure you have plenty of fuel for the day. Many thanks and hope to come again!

The warm and friendly welcome we recieved on arrival remained the same throughout our stay. The stay was like being home from home and the breakfast was the best cooked breakfast we have had in a long long time! What a wonderfull reception! Brolly in hand, offering to help us in with our bags, that was great after a day in the hills. Lovely room and a fantastic booking for dinner at the Farmers Arms in Cwm Du, the food was amazing and a great atmosphere beside the fire.
We'd thoroughly recommend anyone reading this to go and stay.

We have an enjoyable holiday here with the warm welcome from Steven and Lynn. We enjoyed a lot in the pub at night having chats with Steven and the people here. We loved the male voice chorus very very much. The Big Pit Mining Museum is fantastic, don't miss it! Hope we can stay a more week here to enjoy the walk and pony trekking.

A great way to end a holiday in the UK. It saved us the horrible journey to Cornwall on a Saturday and provided us with luxurious accomodation, and a wonderful breakfast with very welcoming hosts.

A very nice stop on our trip around Wales. A Stephen pointed out, they serve a full Welsh breakfast, not English. Plenty of food and friendly conversation. Good advice on hiking the waterfalls at Ystrafelta. A good place from which to explore the Brecons area.
